Aaron, I found my way over here after listening to your Heterodorx appearance. I'm one of those normie American-lib types who first stumbled down the gender rabbit hole earlier this year and have been catching up ever since. I first learned about you in that NYT article, which then led me to the Transparency podcast. That quickly became (and continues to be) one of my favorite platforms for conversations on the transgender experience, though I always wondered why it suddenly stopped in March.
After hearing your update today, I just felt compelled to drop you a note to tell you that, however you choose to share your voice going forward, I'm so grateful for what you've already contributed to those of us our here in the public trying to understand this topic. Your distinctly humane, compassionate, level-headed perspective has been such an important addition to this conversation. It's certainly meant a lot to me. Whatever you do going forward, I wish you all the very best and will continue to look forward to whatever you decide it makes sense to share.
I agree completely with Jackson. I find it refreshing and encouraging to listen to both you and Corinna precisely because your message isn’t one of brokenness and despair. I hear very real cautionary warnings that leave room for what can still be a fulfilling life. You both show tremendous courage and resilience. If, as you say, your message isn’t exactly what the GC advocacy community wants to highlight right now, it surely will be as a generation of young disenchanted medical patients emerges seeking wisdom and guidance.
