Thanks for sharing Aaron. I went to Michigan Women’s Fest once (while living in Toronto so around 1989). AMAZING!!! Appreciate hearing your winding journey of making sense of it all. Btw I much prefer no beard.
We met at MIT, you and I, and you commented on my Michfest hoodie. I was one of the privileged few who got to call that place home. I'm so glad you finally got there. Maybe we will meet again next year, on the Land.
Michigan was my Home. For the 20 years I attended—most of them as a worker. I’m so sorry you didn’t get the chance to experience Fest, but I’m glad you felt a bit of the magic being on The Land. Every woman should get to feel the safety and empowerment of womyn’s land. Sadly, the opportunities now are few and far between.
Powerful stuff, Aaron. Hope women read this far and wide. And welcome home.
Thank-you! Please share it far and wide.

Thanks for this thoughtful piece. Lisa’s book just came in the mail, and I’m excited to read it. Glad you finally made it to the Land.
